Are you, or do you know, a firefighter/first responder who has made remarkable contributions to their local fire service? Tell us who and why your nominee should be awarded a full scholarship to attend FDIC International 2018: 

  • Superior or notable work in their specific role.
  • Distinguished leadership and dedication to their community.
  • Outstanding implementation of initiatives and best practices.
  • Passion for knowledge, training and improving department techniques and safety.

All Expenses Paid Scholarship to FDIC Honeywell and DuPont™ Kevlar® have combined to award 20 deserving responders with a full-paid scholarship – including travel and accommodations – to attend FDIC International 2018, the industry’s premier safety and training event. 
  • Recipients will receive airfare, lodging, a daily meal voucher, wearables and full show admission which includes classroom training, seminars, exhibits and access to H.O.T. Evolutions training.
  • The scholarship is available to residents of the United States and Canada only, and career and volunteer fire fighters, EMS and HazMat personnel are eligible. The selected scholarship recipients will be announced monthly ending midnight, December 1, 2017.
  • Early nominations have more chances to receive a scholarship
  • Scholarships will be selected and awarded monthly.
  • Nominees who are not selected as one of the five monthly recipients, will have their videos posted on the FDIC Honeywell-DuPont First Responder Scholarship voting page. Top reader-voted videos will be considered for five final scholarships in December.

FDIC is the largest and most important North American fire training event and tradeshow in the fire service industry with more than 32,000 attending the 2016 event. Hosted every year in Indianapolis, FDIC 2018 will take place April 23 – 28.
